NAC Subcommittee update—Emily Dippie
We have some exciting updates, committee has been meeting through the fall and winter, we have had representatives from
JPAC and artist and community. We are trying to figure out to make the most of the NAC space. We need to start on floor
plan and determine what we need to build programs. With this idea of using this space, how will this work, will we know
who is in it? Will they sign up? Will they have to pay anything to use the space?Asks Susie. That is on our list of
concerns, but, this is a work in progress, I am very encouraged by this subcommittee, says John.
School shows in April/May—Emily Dippie
Greater Clark County Schools back in October had the art show at the NAC, things have changed in GCCS and
my new contact is Kathryn Wells, we have talked about timeline for 2022 show, the date floating right now is
April 18-22. Teachers will come and hang the show, we will have an opening reception, then a couple open
nights and then show will be taken down. Right now we are looking at High School show in May and Middle
school in April. More to come on this next month. You mentioned possibly using the digital gallery, is this
something that is possible?, asks John. Oh yes,for sure, says Emily. Will you be doing a scan of pictures or
actual pictures?, asks Denise. For the Mayorial we used scanned pictures I believe that is what we will do this
time as well, said Emily.

Jeffrey Vandalism
Sad news, Jeffrey has been experiencing some vandalism. Rock Star Jeffrey looked like they tried to steal him
and he broke to pieces. I am working with the artist that created Jeffrey and discussing some options to be able
to keep this from happening, says Emily.
Company Outcast Update and Pivot—Emily Dippie
Company Outcast theatre company collaboration with us to do shows was ready to cast in February but, are
very concerned with COVID. We have discussed doing maybe a pod cast. Company Outcast is going to still do
a show however, it might have to be different than on a stage.
Brainstorm
RFP Theme for Pipes
RFP Theme for Shirley's Arbor
Ideas for Pipes: fishtank, lollipops, botanical theme, use stencils to put creatures on pipes, habitats. I will also
be writing the RFP as sculptural as well.
Ideas for Shirley's Arbor: ampl f, bumble bees, explosive, things floating in air I was thinking we could get
with some of the neighborhoods and get their input, says Emily.
Chairman Vote
I did not receive any other nomination, other than one for John McCarthy, says Emily. I would like to keep
John as chairman, says Kofi. Susan makes motion to nominate John McCarthy as chairman for 2022, seconded
by Kofi, motion carries unanimously.
John: Thank you all so much.
Commissioner's Comments:
Kofi: Jeffrey vandalism is indirect flattery, they like him so much they want to steal him.
