ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-2, RESIDENTIAL,
AND A-l, AGRICULTURAL, (COUNTY) TO B-2, SERVICE BUSINESS
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, that the Zoning Ordinance be amended
in that the property in the name of Lloyd G. Poore and
Bonnie J. Poore, herein described, is reclassified and rezoned
from R-2, Residential, and A-l, Agricultural, (County) to B-2,
Service Business:
Being part of Survey No. 5 of ~he Illinois Grant described as follows:
Being part of Shares No. 4 and 5 and 6 in the pefition of the estate
of Mary Oglesby, deceased, recorded in book 51, page 519 and being all
that part of said tract lying south of the cen~er line of the Utica
Turnpike and being between the center line and low w~ter mark of the
Ohio River and being more particularly desczibed as follows, to wit:
Beginning at a point in the or [ginal line dividing Surveys Nos. Four
and Five of the Illinois Grant, at a point where said original line
intersects the center line of the U~_ica and Jefferr~,v~lle Turnpike;
thence eastwardly along the center line of said Turnpike to a point
where the sam~ intersects the East line of said Share No. 6 of said
partition; thence S. 35 deg. 40' East 57 poles to low water mark of the
Ohio River, thence down said river with its meamd~rs to the original
line dividing said Surveys Nos. 4 and 5 of said Grant; thence N. 35 deg.
40' West with said origimm] line 5~ poles to the place of beginning,
containing in all sixteen and a frac~mnal acres and .incL,,d~ng all
reparian rights and privileges.

beginning in the original line dividing

the center line of the Utica and Jeffersonville Turnpike; thence

thence N. '35 deg. 40' West 175 feet to the place, of beginning.
The above described properly is subject tb a perpetn~al easement in
favor of the United States of America which easement'is recorded in
Deed Recc~d 126 at page 439, said easement calls for permitting of
water to flood said ground fmm~ the Ohio River and to clear the same
of onderbrush an~ debris that may collect upon the same.
Having a street address of 3000 Utica Pike, Jeffersonville,
Indiana.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
timely passage, promulgation and approval by the Mayor.
Passed and adopted by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana, on the day of
