MINUTES
November 13,2019

CALL TO ORDER: Mr.Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:32 a.m.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Grant made the motion to approve the minutes from November 6,2019
seconded by Mr. Dixon and motion passed 3-0.
APPROVAL OF THE PAYROLL: Mr. Dixon made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Mr.Grant and
motion passes 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Les Merkley—Public Hearing to render decision regarding Crown Castle Small Cell Antenna
Installation,927 French Street(taken under advisement at BPW meeting on 10/9/2019)
Mr. Merkley opened the public hearing—no one appear. Mr.Waiz indicated there were concerns with
the type and location of this antenna pole.
Mr. Brian Braun with Crown Castle indicated that a location change would require other antennas to
move because of the required distance between the locations and presented pictures of the decorative pole
for this location.
Mr.Grant made the motion to approved the installation with the stipulation of blending the wiring, etc
with the decorative pole(paint or use all black materials), seconded by Mr. Dixon and motion passes 3-0.
NEW BUSINESS:
Larry Wallace/Kelly Betz—Hearing on appeal regarding 3010 Middle Road, property owner, Ni Sheng
Mr.Wallace indicated his department sent out a crew to clean up brush and trees on this property.
Ms. Betz,City Code Enforcement Officer, indicated that there was excessive growth, notification was received
September 3 by property owner. Work was later than the 10 day notification allowance; no response from
property owner beforehand.
Mr.Sheng appeared and brought samples of the brush and trees that were removed indicating that
these were not weeds but editable growth.
Chief Kavanaugh reminded Mr.Sheng that he must contact the City Code Enforcement in the future if
he would like the City to work with his small business.
Mr. Grant made the motion to reduce the fine to$238, seconded by Mr. Dixon and motion passes 3-0.
Les Merkley—Request for approval of the 2020 City Holiday Calendar
Mr.Grant made the motion to tabled the request, seconded by Mr. Dixon and motion passes 3-0.
Kim Calabro—Request for approval of contract between the City and Sanders D.Cooper,
Photographer
Ms. Calabro indicated this will be for a display board that Human Resources plan to use in upcoming
job fairs. Funds are available in her budget.
Mr. Dixon made the motion to approve the contract, seconded by Mr. Grant and motion passes 3-0.
Jeffersonville Board of Public Works—November 13, 2019
Kim Calabro—Request for approval of contract between the City and Kort
Ms.Calabro indicated this is an annual contract to go out on the job sight and do analysis of workers.
Funds are available in her budget.
Mr. Dixon made the motion to approve the contract,seconded , r. ran and motion passes 3-0.
