APPROVAL OF THE PAYROLL: Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve the payroll,seconded by Mr. Crouch and motion passes 3-0. OLD BUSINESS: none NEW BUSINESS: Larry Wallace—Review request for appeal regarding 1402 East 10th Street,Gateway Plaza Shopping Center LLC Mr. Wallace indicated he billed this property for clean up; notice was sent via registered mail,and after the 10 day allowance(actually 12 days allowed) Mr.Wallace sent a contractor out to clean up the property. Neighbors were complaining and there is an issue with the homeless around in this around. Ms. Renee Moody with Monopoly Realty representing Gateway Plaza Shopping Center LLC appeared; stating that they received the notice on Wednesday,sent out an employee on Friday who started the clean up and that when the employee returned on Monday to finish the work,someone had already completed the work. She is disputing the$550.85 charge. Mayor Moore—is there history with this property Mr.Wallace? Yes, continuous. Mayor-we feel that the$550 charge is warranted; please check on the property monthly. Mr. Crouch made the motion to affirm the fine accessed on this property of$550.85,seconded by Mr.Waiz and motion passes 3-0. Pat Hauersperger,Dave O'Mara Construction—Request for approval of road closure at 10th and Spring Street on the night of Wednesday, November 6, 2019 and re-open by 6:00 a.m.;then closing Spring Street(from 10th to Sparks)down the night of Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 9:00 p.m.to 6:00 a.m. Rebecca Ashack with Indiana American Water—this is for night work to complete work for the Hospital loop with detour signs. Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the road closure, seconded by Mr.Crouch and motion passes 3-0. Joe Olson—Request for approval for City insurance renewal with Humana. Mr. Olson -sought quotes from United Health Insurance,Anthem, and Humana. Humana made the best offer again with a 4.88%increase for health, 5%dental, no increase for life insurance and 3%vision insurance. Mayor Moore thanked Mr.Olson for working to bring the price down for the City. Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve the renewal,seconded by Mr.Crouch and motion passes 3-0. Jeffersonville Board of Public Works—October 30, 2019 Andy Crouch—Request for approval of Agreement between the City and the Transit Authority of River City(TARC) Mr. Crouch-indicated this is KIPDA funding that will be used for sidewalks and bus stop on Eastern Boulevard to meet up with the new sidewalks near Spring Street. Engineering budget will pay for the design and KIPDA funding to pay for the construction. Funds are in the budget. Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve the agreement,seconded by Mr. Crouch and motion passes 3-0. Brian Smith—Request for approval of contract between the City and MSDS Mr.Smith indicated this is a three year agreement for MSDS service : the on-line carrier. Funds are in the budget.
