JEFFERSONVILLE PARKS AUTHORITY
STATE OF INDIANA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING INTERLOCAL AGREEMENTS BETWEEN
THE JEFFERSONVILLE PARKS AUTHORITY
AND THE BOARD OF SCHOOL TRUSTEES
FOR THE GREATER CLARK COUNTY SCHOOL CORPORATION
CONCERNING CONNIE SELMER PARK AND SHIRLEY HALL PARK
WHEREAS, the Greater Clark County School Corporation ("GCCS") owns Connie
Selmer Park and Shirley Hall Park ("Parks") which are operated by the Jeffersonville Parks
Authority ("JPA"); and
WHEREAS, both parties desire that the Parks remain for the use and enjoyment of the
public as park space; and
WHEREAS, the JPA and the GCCS have negotiated an agreement to allow the Parks to
remain public park space operated by the JPA; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the JPA that the attached agreements
("Attachment A") are hereby approved; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, by the JPA that its President is hereby authorized to
execute the agreements. ��pp

RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE BOARD OF SCHOOL TRUSTEES FOR
GREATER CLARK COUNTY SCHOOLS AND
THE JEFFERSONVILLE PARKS AUTHORITY
CONCERNING SHIRLEY HALL PARK
WHEREAS, I.C. 36-1-7 allows political subdivisions in the state of Indiana to enter into
Interlocal Agreements; and,
WHEREAS, the Greater Clark County School Corporation ("GCCS") owns property located at
2710 Hamburg Pike in Jeffersonville, Indiana, which is commonly known as Shirley Hall Park
("Park"); and
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Parks Authority ("JPA") maintains and operates the Park as a
public space located on the property owned by GCCS; and
WHEREAS,the JPA and GCCS desire for JPA to continue to maintain and operate the Park as a
public space for the benefit of GCCS' students, faculty, employees, administrators, general
public and citizens of Jeffersonville; and
WHEREAS, the JPA and GCCS have negotiated an Interlocal Agreement to allow JPA to
maintain and operate the public park space; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire and intent of the School Corporation to enter into the attached
Interlocal Agreement (Attachment"A") constituting a contract with the JPA; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of School Trustees for the Greater
Clark County School Corporation hereby approves the Interlocal Agreement with the
Jeffersonville Parks Authority which is attached to and made a part of this Resolution.
SO RESOLVED AND DULY ADOPTED this 8th day of May 2019, by the following vote of
the membe of said Board of School Trustees.

public space located on the property owned by GCCS; and,
WHEREAS, the JPA and GCCS desire for JPA to continue to maintain and operate the Park as a
public space for the benefit of GCCS' students, faculty, employees, administrators, general
public and citizens of Jeffersonville; and,
WHEREAS, the JPA and GCCS have negotiated an Interlocal Agreement to allow JPA to
maintain and operate the public park space; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire and intent of the School Corporation to enter into the attached
Interlocal Agreement (Attachment "A") constituting a contract with the JPA; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of School Trustees for the Greater
Clark County School Corporation hereby approves the Interlocal Agreement with the
