BEFORE THE JEFFERSONVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
STATE OF INDIANA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE,
AND THE JEFFERSONVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND THE CIVIL TOWN OF
CLARKSVILLE AND THE CLARKSVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission(the "Commission"),
was created for the purpose of undertaking economic development and redevelopment projects in
the City of Jeffersonville ("City")pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14 and I.C. 36-7-25; and
WHEREAS, the Commission desires to enter into an Interlocal agreement between the
City of Jeffersonville, and the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission, herein after referred to
as ("City") and the Civil Town of Clarksville and the Clarksville Redevelopment Commission,
herein after referred to as ("Town"); and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Agreement is to make application for and use of federal
funds through the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and the Kentuckiana Regional
Planning and Development Agency (KIPDA) for a Pedestrian Improvement Project on
Montgomery Avenue in Clarksville and on Ninth Street in Jeffersonville
WHEREAS, this Agreement shall begin at such time when all parties hereunto have
signed this Agreement and remain in full force and effect until its purposes have been
accomplished but in no event longer than four(4) years after its execution;
WHEREAS, the Commission believes that it is in the best interest of the City to enter
into this Interlocal agreement;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Jeffersonville
Redevelopment Commission does hereby approve the attached Interlocal Agreement between the
City of Jeffersonville, and the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission and Civil Town of
Clarksville and the Clarksville Redevelopment Commission.
