CONTRACT FOR MEETING MINUTE KEEPING SERVICES Ian lin C Jerk
This Contract for Meeting Minute Keeping Services ("Contract") is made and
entered into by Patty Rush (hereinafter "Contractor") and the City of Jeffersonville
Police Department Merit Commission (hereinafter the "Commission").
WITNESSETH:
The Commission wishes to contract for meeting minute keeping services with
the Contractor to work for said Commission and the Contractor herein wishes to be
provide such services to and for the Commission.
Now, therefore, in consideration of the promises and the mutual convenants
herein, the parties (the Contractor and the Commission) agree as follows:
SERVICES:
The Contractor is to provide minute keeping services for the Commission, and
will maintain for the Commission a record of its regular public meetings, any special
public meetings, and any executive sessions, in the form of minutes, as minutes are
kept in the normal and ordinary course of business for public boards for the City of
Jeffersonville, subject to any special rules maintained by this Commission.
The Commission hereby contracts with the Contractor, and the Contractor
hereby accepts said appointment, for a period commencing on or about November 1,
2017, and continuing on a monthly basis, contingent upon the availability of City
funding for said services, and/or until such time as termination of such the Contract
(per the provisions provided hereinbelow).
COMPENSATION:
The Contractor will be paid a set flat fee, consistent with the City of
Jeffersonville Common Council's then existing salary ordinance. As of the date of this
Contract, the per meeting fee for services rendered by the Contractor is One Hundred
and 00/100 Dollars ($100.00) (hereinafter "Compensation").
The Compensation shall be promptly paid as other claims are paid, upon
submission of an invoice for services rendered by the Contractor to the Commission
at its regular monthly meeting, or at any special meeting, upon a majority vote of the
Commission members to recommend such claims to the City of Jeffersonville
Common Council for payment of said claims.
TERMINATION:
This Contract may be terminated at any time, by either party hereto, with or
without cause, by the giving of a thirty (30) day written notice.
MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS:
The Contractor, by entering into this Contract, is not an employee, and hereby
agrees that the the Contractor is a subcontractor.
The heading provided herein are for convenience only and the contract
provisions herein shall be interpreted as if the headings do not exist.
Amendments to this Contract are only permitted if made in writing, and signed
by the Commission, the Contractor and the City of Jeffersonville Mayor.
