RE: Proposal Outlining the Amended Scope of Professional Services for
Nachand Fieldhouse Renovation
Dear Bill,
Thank you for participating in discussions with me regarding the revised scope of services for the Nachand Fieldhouse Renovation:.
We appreciate the opportunity to provide this amended proposal,which builds or,.the approved proposal dated Jure 6th,2017.
This proposal reflects amendments to the scope of services provided,which we believe will best serve you for the updated scope
of work desired at the Nachand Fieldhouse.
Please find outlined below a brief synopsis of this proposal. If found to be acceptable,please sign where indicated and return a
signed copy of the proposal to TEG Architects at your earliest convenience.This document delineates the following elements of
the agreement:

SECTION ONE
PROJECTSCOPE
im The Renovation of the Nachand Fieldhouse involves multiple disciplines and
initiatives. TEG understands that the group titled Save The Fieldhouse (STP)
desires to produce designs and documents adequate for the renovation of the
existing south facade and existing North men's and women's restrooms of the
existing Fieldhouse on Court Avenue in Jeffersonville.
1.02 It is TEG's understanding from STF that this project is not under prevailing wage
requirements. --

SECTION TWO
AUGUST 2017 REVISED SCOPE OF SERVICES
2.01 TEG anticipates the following services will be required.
.1 Design of window and door replacements for windows on the south fagode
only,a total of 26 windows and one door.
.2 TEG will request unit prices from bidders for additional window replacements
as permitted by the STP budget.
•3 Structural calculations and design for lintel replacement of at up to 6 different
window conditions which can be used around the entire building. Design of
flashing at the new windows is also included.
.4 Design renovation of the existing canopy at the South Facade. Canopy
renovation will include demolition of canopy enclosure and reuse of the
existing steel structure. Renovation will also include new canopy enclosure
design and canopy lighting design.
.5 Canopy renovation scope includes a typical canopy design to be applied to
the south canopy.TEG will request unit prices for renovation of all additional
canopies in a similar or equal design as the south canopy,as permitted by the
STF budget.
.6 Lighting plan to be developed for south canopy, to be tied into existing
electrical systems.Additional lighting is to be designed for all other canopies
in similar to the south facade canopy,as permitted by the STP budget.TEG
will coordinate with CMTA on the design intent of the exterior canopy lighting
and lighting of the South Facade.
2.02 In addition to the renovation of the south facade,it is understood that TEG will
provide the following services:
.1 Coordinating with a Masonry Restoration Contractor for services which STP
is contracting for directly with the contractor. The scope of this coordination
involves tuckpointing the entire building and renovation of the north parapet
and roof repairs in that area.
.2 TEG includes in our scope of services the structural engineering and flashing
design at new lintels at all windows.

SECTION THREE
BASIS FOR COMPENSATION
3.o1 TEG proposed to provide the services outlined in this Proposal for the following
stipulated fees.
Design Development/Coordination $6,000
Construction Documents/Coordination $18,500
Project Bidding/Coordination $4,250
Project Fees $28,750
Construction Administration-Donated Services $3,000
3.02 Earlier this year, TEG previously developed schematic design illustrations for
fundraising and interest raising purposes for the project, this was valued at
$3,000 for reporting of pro Bono services.
3.03 Reimbursable Expenses are not included in the fee stated in 3.01. Unless
extensive printing or reprographics are required,no reimbursable expenses are
anticipated.Our firm's policy on reimbursable expenses is to invoice our clients
at our direct cost with no mark-up for processing. Examples of reimbursable
expenses include but are not limited to the following:
Travel Expenses + Airfare(Mileage based on the current Federal Standard
per mile)
Reprographic Expenses for the production of check sets and bidding sets
Reprographic Expenses for the production of presentation drawings and
display boards
Shipping Expenses associated with distribution of materials associated with
the project
Advertising expenses
All City,State and other Authorities having jurisdiction Fees,etc.
3.04 Invoices will be distributed on a monthly basis. All invoices unpaid after thirty
(3o)days beyond the invoice date are subject to interest charges at a rate of 1.5%
per month applied to the outstanding balance.
3.05 If for any reason, the project is halted for more than 90 calendar days; TEG
Architects LLC is to be compensated for all work and expenses performed prior
to the stoppage.
3.o6 If Owner/Client breaches this agreement by failing to pay, after demand, any
amounts due Architect then Architect may commence suit for damages, and
recover its attorney fees incurred as a part of its damages.
3.07 The Architect does not control the cost of construction; material suppliers,
subcontractors,general contractors and construction managers determine the
cost of the work.The Architect will use generally accepted square footage costs
to prepare all estimates of the Cost of the Work. The Cost of the Work is an
estimate and is not a guaranteed price; factors of inflation, regional variations,
material availability,etc.impact costs,all out of the control of the design team.

3.08 The Architect's estimate of the Cost of the Work is generally within 15%of the
actual bid cost of the work. The Architect is not responsible for redesigning
approved design efforts unless the construction document bids exceed the
estimated Cost of the Work beyond this 15%factor.
3.09 Upon acceptance of this proposal as well as completion of schematic design and
statement of estimated cost,TEG will prepare AIA document Blot for full scope
of services for execution.
SECTION FOUR
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
4.01 All services beyond those outlined in this Proposal are considered Additional
Services. If Additional Services are required, a separate proposal defining the
Scope of Services and Professional Fees will be prepared.
4.02 Revisions to designs or documents after approval at each project development
phase or final documents previously approved by the Owner/Owner's
Representative.
4.01 Meetings beyond the meetings outlined in the Scope of Services, (including
meetings with city,state or other agencies for review of the project.)
4.02 Revisions to drawings upon completion of construction/installation to provide
accurate as-built drawings.
This proposal is valid for 45 days from date issued.

Evaluating professional services is very difficult,scope of services and fees vary greatly from
one proposal to another.If services outlined in.this Proposal are not as you desire or do not
reflect the scope that others may propose, please allow TEG Architects LLC to modify to
better serve you and the project.
