BEFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL
FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
THE NON-REVERTING SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION FUND
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville ("City") is responsible for maintaining and
constructing public sidewalks within the city's jurisdiction,-
WHEREAS,
urisdiction;WHEREAS, the City believes public sidewalks promotes the general welfare of
the public;
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to fund the construction of public
sidewalks from various revenue sources;
WHEREAS, it is economically desirable to create a non-reverting fund for
deposit, expenditure and disbursement of funds designated for the maintenance and
construction of public sidewalks within the jurisdiction of the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council for the City of
Jeffersonville as follows-

ollows:1. That a special non-reverting operating fund is hereby established for the
purpose of receiving and holding funds for the maintenance and construction of public
sidewalks. This fund shall be entitled "The Non-Reverting Sidewalk Construction Fund"
and monies may be expended from this fund only upon the filing of a proper claim in
issuance of a warrant for payment by the Controller after appropriation and approval by
the Common Council.
2. That the Common Council is hereby required to use the Non-Reverting
Fund to the extent and in the manner allowed by law.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage by the Common
Council andappr v a I by the Mayor.
