BEFORE THE JEFFERSONVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
THE STATE OF INDIANA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONVEYING PARCELS
OF REAL ESTATE BY DEED TO
JEFFERSONVILLE URBAN ENTERPRISE ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission") was
created for the purpose of undertaking economic development and redevelopment projects in the
City of Jeffersonville ("city") pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14 and I.C. 36-7-25; and
WHEREAS, the City owns certain parcels of real estate specifically Parcel 10-19-00-
103-351.000-010, commonly known as 228 Spring Street (see attached Exhibit "A" for legal
description); and
WHEREAS, the said real estate is owned by the City for the use and benefit of the
Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment ("Redevelopment"); and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety ("BPWS"), as the disposing agent
for the City, has determined by resolution that it is in the best interest of the citizens and
taxpayers of Jeffersonville for the City to convey said real estate to the Jeffersonville Urban
Enterprise Association ("JUEA") for purposes of development; and
WHEREAS, I.C. 36-7-14-22.2 allows Redevelopment to sell or grant, at no cost, title to
real property to an urban enterprise association for the purposes of developing the real property if
certain statutory requirements are met; and
WHEREAS, the JUEA is incorporated as a nonprofit corporation under Indiana law; and
WHEREAS, the said real estate to be conveyed is located entirely within the enterprise
zone for which the JUEA was created; and
WHEREAS, the JUEA agrees to cause development on said real estate within five (5)
years or less; and
WHEREAS, the JUEA agrees to rehabilitate or otherwise develop the property in a
manner that is similar to and consistent with the use of the other properties located in the
enterprise zone; and
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Commission that it finds
the conveyance of said real estate to the JUEA satisfies the statutory requirements set forth in
I.C. 36-7-14-22.2; and
IT IS FURTHER HEREBY RESOLVED by the Commission that it approves of the
conveyance of said real state to the JUEA for purposes of development.

A part of Lot Nos. 88 and 89 in the City of Jeffersonville, Clark Bounty,
Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of s4id Lot
88; thence Easterly, 81.35 feet along the north line of said Lots 88 and 89;
thence Southerly, 17.00 feet along a line parallel with the westerly line f said
Lot 88; thence Westerly, 81.35 feet along a line parallel with the northe ly line
of said Lots 88 and 89 to the westerly line of said Lot 88; thence No therly,
17.00 feet along said westerly line to the point of beginning and conkaining
1383 square feet,more or less.
ALSO, part of Lot Nos. 88 and 89 in the City of Jeffersonville describe d thus:
Beginning on Spring Street at a point 17 feet from the northwest corner of said
Lot 88; thence Southwardly with Spring Street, 33 feet to a stake; thence at
right angles Eastwardly along said Lot 88 and 10 feet in Lot 89; thence Ot right
angles Northwardly 33 feet; thence at right angles Westwardly to the pace of
beginning.
