BEFORE THE JEFFERSONVILLE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE IN THE STATE OF INDIANA
A RESOLUTION CONVEYING PARCELS OF REAL ESTATE BY DEED
TO JEFFERSONVILLE URBAN ENTERPRISE ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville ("City") is an Indiana municipal corporation with
the legal authority to own real estate; and
WHEREAS, the City owns certain parcels of real estate specifically Parcel 10-19-00-
103-351.000-010, commonly known as 228 Spring Street (see attached Exhibit "A" for legal
description); and
WHEREAS, the said real estate is owned by the City for the use and benefit of the
Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment ("Redevelopment"); and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety ("BPWS") believes it is in the best
interest of the citizens and taxpayers of Jeffersonville for the City to convey said real estate to
the Jeffersonville Urban Enterprise Association ("JUEA") for purposes of development; and
WHEREAS, I.C. 36-7-14-22.2 allows Redevelopment to sell or grant, at no cost, title to
real property to an urban enterprise association for the purposes of developing the real property if
certain requirements are met; and
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the BPWS approves the
conveyance of Parcels of Real Estate By Deed to the Urban Enterprise Zone for further
development consistent I.C. 36-7-14-22.2.
IT IS FURTHER HEREBY RESOLVED, by the BPWS that this conveyance is
contingent upon approval by Redevelopment through the Jeffersonville Redevelopment
Commission by adoption of a resolution confirming that the requirements set forth in I.C. 36-7-
14-22.2 are met
IT IS FURTHER HEREBY RESOLVED, by the BPWS that upon the adoption of the
aforementioned resolution by Redevelopment, the Mayor, on behalf of the City is authorized to
quit-claim said real estate to the JUEA.

EXHIBIT A
Legal Description
A part of Lot Nos. 88 and 89 in the City of Jeffersonville, Clark (Tounty,
Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of sjid Lot
88; thence Easterly, 81.35 feet along the north line of said Lots 88 a'nd 89;
thence Southerly, 17.00 feet along a line parallel with the westerly line of said
Lot 88; thence Westerly, 81.35 feet along a line parallel-with the northerly line
of said Lots 88 and 89 to the westerly line of said Lot 88; thence Northerly,
17.00 feet along said westerly line to the point of beginning and containing
1383 square feet,more or less.
ALSO, part of Lot Nos. 88 and 89 in the City of Jeffersonville described thus:
Beginning on Spring Street at a point 17 feet from the northwest corner' f said
Lot 88; thence Southwardly with Spring Street, 33 feet to a stake; th�nce at
right angles Eastwardly along said Lot 88 and 10 feet in Lot 89; thence �t right
angles Northwardly 33 feet; thence at right angles Westwardly to the pace of
beginning.
Subject to any and all easements and restrictions of record affecting this real
