(Eco-Tech) is pleased to offer this cost estimate for tasks associated with performing Invasive Plant Management on a 1-acre demonstration area in Vissing Park, Jeffersonville, IN in Clark County, Indiana. OBJECTIVE The objective is to perform Invasive Plant Management (IPM) on one acre in Vissing Park. Invasive plant removal will improve the long-term health of the woodland, improve and increase wildlife use, improve aesthetics, and increase usability of the property for recreational purposes. Invasive plant pressure is high and species present includes bush and Japanese honeysuckles (Lonicera maackii and L.japonica), multiflora rose (Rosa multiflora), and Asian privet (Ligustrum sp.). SCOPE OF SERVICES The proposed treatment area is one acre in size (fig. 1). Prescriptions described below will be applied to the entire treatment area. Eco-Tech will provide all necessary materials, labor and equipment. 1. Woody plants will be mechanically cut using chainsaws and/or forestry brush cutters, and the stumps will be treated with a 50% solution of glyphosate. Plants too small for effective cutting treatment will be treated with a 2-5% solution of glyphosate depending on species treated. 2. Material that falls into trail corridors, roadways, turf areas, or other public use areas will be dragged back into wooded areas. 3. Material will be 'bucked' (cut into smaller pieces) so that the majority lies on the forest floor, which will speed up the decomposition process and reduce negative visual impacts. 4. Off road vehicles (UTVs) may be used to transport people and equipment within the site. All reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure public safety and minimize site impacts. 1 LV0442017—Vissing Park 1-Acre Demonstration IPM May 16, 2017 SCHEDULE Work can begin once the 'Work Authorization' form (see below) has been signed and returned to Eco-Tech.
