Chief, Eric Hedrick, Chief JFD, Kenny Kavanaugh, Chief JPD, Rick Lovan, Community Liaison,Janet Mayrose, Admin Assist Redevelopment Les Merkley, Corporate Counsel, Heather Metcalf, Controller, Clark Miles, Street Commissioner, Paul Northam, Park Superintendent, Christy O'Neil, Admin Assistant Mayor, Nathan Pruitt, Director of Planning and Zoning, Delynn Rutherford, Grant Writer, Larry Wallace, Building Commissioner, Vicki Conlin, City Clerk CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: Mr. Waiz made the motion to APPROVE the minutes from September 21, 2016 meeting, seconded by Mr. Lovan passing on a ✓ote of 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Waiz made motion to APPROVE payroll, seconded by Mr. Lovan passing on a vote of 3-0. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: 1. Bill Dixon, Clark County Engineer-- Request for approval of street closure on Salem Noble Road near Whispering Oaks. Mr. Dixon requested the approval for bridge repair on Salem Noble Road starting on 10/12/16 for approximately 120 days should be opened by 2/10/17. Mr. Dixon stated there would be signage posted and detour signs. The detour will be High Jackson at Salem Noble Road to Stacy Road, South on Stacy Road to Hwy 62, Hwy 62 to Jeff Charlestown, and Jeff Charlestown Road to Salem Noble. Residents will be able to have access to their homes. Chief Hedrick stated he has been in contact with Sellersburg Fire and they have agreed to support mutual aid for this area. Mr. Waiz made the motion to APPROVE the closure, seconded by Mr. Lovan passing on a vote of 3-0. 1 2. Kenny Kavanaugh—Request approval to transfer two vehicles, a 2001 Ford Crown Vic and 2000 Chrysler LHS to the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Chief Kavanaugh presented the request before the Board; Corporate Counsel Merkley presented 2016-R-2 Resolution Approving the Transfer of Certain Property to Other Governmental Entities (Surplus Vehicles). Mr. Waiz made the motion to APPROVE 2016-R-2, seconded by Mr. Lovan passing on a vote of 3-0. 3. Keith Nelson with Buzzi Unicem - Request for road closure to block the road at the back of Buzzi Unicem' s property of Meigs Ave/Champion Drive from October 3, 2016 through October 7, 2016 for work on the railroad tracks. Mr. Nelson requested the road closure for railroad tracks repair. Mr. Lovan made the motion to APPROVE the request, seconded by Mr. Waiz passing on a vote of 3-0. ADJOURNMENT: With no further action needed from the Board of Public Works, Mr. Lovan made the motion to ADJOURN, seconded by Mr. Waiz. Meeting adjourned at 9:55 A.M.
