FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE IN THE STATE OF INDIANA
RESOLUTION NO. 2016-R- I�),
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL ESTATE BY
DEED TO JEFFERSONVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission (hereinafter called
"the Commission) is the statutory body within the city responsible for redevelopment of
property;
WHEREAS, The Commission and the Jeffersonville Board of Public Works and
Safety ("BPW") are governmental entities pursuant to I.C. 3 6-1-11-1-1;
WHEARAS, the BPW has the statutory power to award contracts as the city's
disposing agent pursuant to I.C. 36-1-11-2;
WHEREAS, I.C. 36-1-11-8 permits the transfer of property between
governmental entities evidenced by adoption of a substantially identical resolution by
each entity;
WHEREAS, the City owns certain properties commonly known as follows:
Parcel 10-19-00-101-936.000-010, commonly known as 955 Spring Street
Parcel 10-19-00-101-475.000-010, being a parcel located on Illinois Avenue
See attached Exhibit"A" for legal descriptions of said properties.
WHEREAS, the BPW has adopted a resolution authorizing the conveyance of the
aforementioned properties to the Commission pursuant to I.C. 36-1-11-8 contingent upon
the Commission adopting a similar resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Commission
accepts the conveyance of the Parcels of Real Estate by Deed as described in attached
Exhibit"A"to the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission for further development
consistent with Indiana law. I

Part of Block 107 in the City of Jeffersonville described as beginning at
Northwest corner of said block at intersection of the East line of Indiana
Avenue with the Southwesterly line of Spring Street; thence Southeasterly along
the Southwesterly line of Spring Street, 190 feet; thence at right angles 130 feet
more or less to the East line of Indiana Avenue; thence Northeasterly along the
East line of Indiana Avenue 234 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM: Part of Block 107 of the enlargement to the
Town of Jeffersonville, also known as Block 107 in the City of Jeffersonville
described as beginning at the Northwest corner of said block at the
intersection of the East line of Indiana Avenue with the southwesterly line of
Spring Street; thence running South 31 deg. And 20 minutes east along
southwesterly line of Spring Street 21 feet to a point; thence north 85 deg. And
28 minutes west 12.3 feet to a point in the easterly line of Indiana Avenue;

Under Articles of Consolidation dated November 21, 1867, and filed in the Office of the Secretary
of State of Indiana on December 28, 1867, the Ohio and Mississippi Railway Companies of Illinois,
Ohio and Indiana were consolidated under the name of the Ohio and Mississippi Railway
Company. By Agreement of Consolidation dated August 12, 1893, The Baltimore & Ohio
Southwestern Railroad Company (1st Corporation) and the Ohio and Mississippi Railway
Company were consolidated on November 1, 1893, under the name of The Baltimore and Ohio
Southwestern Railway Company. The Baltimore and Ohio Southwestern Railway Company went
into the hands of a receiver on December 31, 1898, and on January 4, 1899, was sold and
reorganized under the name of The Baltimore and Ohio Southwestern Railroad Company, which
reorganization included merger of The Cincinnati, Portsmouth & Parkersburg Railway Company
and The Cincinnati, Louisville & Vincennes Railway Company. The Baltimore and Ohio
Southwestern Railroad Company, by deed dated January 31, 1949, conveyed its entire holdings to
The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company. Effective April 30, 1987, The Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad Company was merged into The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company in accordance
with the terms of the Plan of Merger dated December 2, 1986. Effective September 2, 1987, The
Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company was merged into CSX Transportation, Inc. in accordance
with the terms of the Articles of Merger dated August 18, 1987.
Being all of Lots 6,9, 10, 11, 12, 13, a part of Lots 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Block 89, a part of a vacated
alley (see Miscellaneous Drawer 2, Instrument 443), a part of a 10' alley purported to be vacated
