OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
May 1, 2013
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:32am and on the call of roll were Councilperson Bryan
Glover and Public Works Coordinator Rick Lovan.
Also present: Fire Chief Eric Hedrick, IT Director Matt Dyer, Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, City
Engineer Andy Crouch, WWTP Director Len Ashack, Storm Coordinator Deb Ashack, Vehicle
Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing, Street Commissioner David Hosea, Police Chief Chris Grimm, Sewer
Office Manager Elisha Dale, Controller Amy Deering, Human Resources Director Kim Calabro, City
Attorney Les Merkley, UEZ Director Kelly Reed, Planning and Zoning Director Shane Corbin, Parks
Superintendent Paul Northam, Executive Assistant Judith VanGilder, Administrative Assistant Candy
Stewart.
Councilperson Glover made a motion to approve the April 3, 2013, minutes with Mr. Lovan seconding,
PASSING on a vote of 3 -0.
Councilperson Glover made a motion to approve payroll, with Mr. Lovan seconding, PASSING on a vote
of 3 -0.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Mayor Moore — Flagpole at Jerry's Restaurant: wants to donate the flagpole that is presently at
the restaurant to the Allison Brook Park along with the blocks that surround it. Mr. Northam
stated that he would have the pole removed and then stored until it was time to put in the park.
Mr. Northam asked Mayor Moore to let him know when he was ready for him to take out the
flagpole.
2. J.R. Hutchinson, Project Manager Edwards Moving & Riggins: requests that the city block the
parking areas directly in front of 411 Maple Street and 309 Pearl Street so that they can get their
equipment in to begin footer work in preparation for the house moves. After discussion, Mr.
Lovan made the motion to approve the no parking barricades at 411 E. Maple St. on Monday,
May 6 and Tuesday, May 7 from 7:OOam — 5:OOpm with alternate dates being Wednesday
through Friday, May 8, 9 and 10; and no parking barricades at 309 Pearl Street on Wednesday,
May 8, Thursday, May 9, and Friday, May 10 from 7:OOam — 5:OOpm with alternate dates being
Monday through Wednesday May 13, 14 and 15, with Councilperson Glover seconding,
PASSING on a vote of 3 -0.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Paul Northam — Little League Parade: Mr. Northam let the board know that the Little League
Parade will take place at 9:OOam on Saturday, May 11. The route of the parade is the same as it
has been in the past and Mr. Northam stated that he has notified Police Chief Grimm.

ADJOURNMENT:
Councilperson Glover made a motion to adjourn at 9:40am, with Mr. Lovan seconding, PASSING
unanimously.
