OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
November 7 , 2012
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 A.M. and on the call of roll were Councilperson
Lisa Gill and Public Works Coordinator Rick Lovan.
Also present was: Parks Superintendent Paul Northam, City Engineer Andy Crouch, WWTP Director
Len Ashack, Planning and Zoning Director Shane Corbin, Police Chief Chris Grimm, Controller
Monica Harmon, Safety Director Mike Ogg, UEZ Director Kelly Reed, Street Commissioner David
Hosea, I.T. Director Matt Dyer, Storm Coordinator Deb Ashack, Grant Writer Delynn Rutherford, Fire
Chief Eric Hedrick, Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, Redevelopment Director Rob Waiz, Animal
Shelter Director Sarah Green, Corporation Counsel Tom Lowe, H. R. Director Kim Calabro, City
Attorney Les Merkley, and Deputy Clerk Erica Burress.
Councilperson Gill made a motion to approve the October 31 2012 minutes with Mr. Lovan
seconding, passing on a vote of 3 -0.

of 3 -0.
OLD BUSINESS:
NONE
NEW BUSINESS:
1.) Robert Alvey: Home Improvement Charity: Mr. Alvey came before the board with an
interest in creating a non - profit business that will help improve homes for those less
fortunate. Mr. Alvey stated he would like to see about raising money to help improve
homes around the area and would love any feedback or advice from the city. Mr. Lowe
stated that he should reach out to area churches for possible donations. Mrs. Rutherford
stated that since the process of becoming a non - profit is lengthy and costly, that it may be
beneficial to him to partner with another non - profit business.
2.) Bill Dixon: Road Closure: Mr. Dixon requested approval of a road closure at Market Street
between Mulberry and Pearl from November 12 to November 14 Mayor Moore stated
that the Carico's will need to know this since it will affect which route option they use to
move the house. Mr. Dixon stated that he has been in contact and they plan on using Pearl.
Mr. Dixon also stated that the road will be open every night and the closure is only for a few
days. Councilperson Gill made a motion to approve the road closure, with Mr. Lovan
seconding, passing on a vote of 3 -0.
3.) Mayor Moore: Mayor Moore congratulated Rick Stephenson for winning County
Commissioner. Mayor Moore also stated to Mr. Hosea that he would like to see all the
political signs down within the next week and hopes that those that placed the signs are
diligent in getting them down in a timely manner.
4.) Len Ashack: 10 Street Pump Station: Mr. Ashack gave a heads up to the board that a
manhole on 10 Street in the left lane going west bound at the ramp to 65 South will need
to be replaced soon. This lane will need to be closed and they plan to do it at night. Mr.
Ashack stated he does not have a time and date yet, but wanted to let the board know of
what is to come.
Councilperson Gill made a motion to adjourn at 9:40 A.M. with Mr. Lovan se nding, passing
unanimously.
