The undersigned, as the duly appointed President of the Common Council of the
City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, hereby certifies that on the day of February, 2012,
the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, at its first regular or special
meeting following either (i) the express veto of the above - referenced Ordinance by the
Mayor of Jeffersonville within (10) days after its presentation to him by the City Clerk, or •
•
(ii) the failure of tho Mayor of Jeffersonville to either approve or veto the above -
referenced Ordinance within ten (10) days after its presentation to him by the City Clerk,
PASSED and ADOPTED the above- referenced Ordinance over the veto of the Mayor of
Jeffersonville by a two - thirds (2/3) vote of its entire membership. The provisions of the
above - referenced Ordinance shall be fully effective ftom and after such action of the
Common Council in accordance with the provisions of Indiana law.

ORCINQANCE NO. 2012 -OR- / _
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE NON - COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
•
SALARY /WAGE ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY
WHEREAS, the Common Council for the City of Jeffersonville, Clark
County Indiana (hereinafter the "Common Council"), as the City's statutory Fiscal
and Legislative Bodies, has determined that it is now necessary to amend the
City's Non - collective Bargaining Salary/Wage Administrative Policy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council that the
following amendments to the Non - collective Bargaining Salary/Wage
Administrative Policy shall be made:
The section entitled "Determining New Hire Pay Rates within the Pay
Range" (beginning on page 4 of 6 and continuing on page 5 of 6) shall be deleted
in its entirety and shall be replaced with the following: New hires shall be placed
at the PR -Min (minimum) for his/her job /position's pay grade. Recommending
''q' the placement of a new hire at a pay rate above the PR -Min (minimum) will
require a written justification of the individual's skills, abilities, and other
• credentials for the job /position and the approval of the City Council."
THIS ORDINANCE shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council and approved by the Mayor.
