Wednesday, September 26, 2001 in the Mayor's Conference Room, Court Avenue, Jeffersonville, Indiana. The following were present: Robert E. Campbell, Jr., President Barry Cahill, Vice President Nathan Samuel, Secretary Kyle Williams, Comnussion Member STAFF: David C. Duggins, Jr., Redevelopment Director • Mary Sue Ellenbrand, Assistant to Director Anne Marie Galligan, City Attorney Kathy Haller, Consultant ABSENT: Ed Zastawny, Commission Member CALL TO ORDER: President Robert E. Campbell, Jr. called the meeting to order at 5:35 PM. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: President Campbell asked for additions or correction o acce t hetAug st 29, 200129, 2001 meeting. INTERCITY ROAD BRIDGE PROJECT: Mr. Jorge Lanz, of Jacobi, Toombs & Lanz reported on the progress of the Intercity Road. Project. Mr. Lanz said the last yeaz anod t co~es of the Veteran' Parkway Right of property for the project. Mr. Lanz passed p Way Services. Most of the land has either been secured for 1 to 2003 or early 2004.be an estimated $792,770.00. Completion date ~s estuna Page 2 TREASURER'S REPORT: Mr. Duggins presented the Treasurer's Report. Mr. Duggins reported that on the Income Statement under Personnel Cost the line item $78,771.89 was incorrect. He advised the Boazd that he would find out therreeasurer's Reeort with the condtaon thathMr. Mr. Samuel made a motion to approve the T P Duggins finds the problem with the Personnel Cost mistake. Mr. Cahill seconded. Motion passed. GRANT CLAIMS: Mr. Duggins presented Grant claims tota ng for the Beth Nova Project Mr. Cahill •79 to Clazk Nickles, Inc. was for the final paym made a motion to accept the claims as presented. Mr. Samuel seconded. Motion carned unanimously. Motion carried unanimously. QUADRANGLE: Mr. Duggins reported that the Department of Redevelopment has bought the Quadrangle for $1,468,000.00. The closing was September 19, 2001. The next step will P's . The RFP's should be returned and be to send out the Request For Proposals (RF ) able to be taken under advisement at the next Redevelopment Meeting. A motion was made by Mr. Samuel and seconded by Mr. Cahill to send out the RFP's. Motion passed. Mr. Duggins also reported that Mr. Bobby Spears, the current manager ate asked for Quadrangle would be willing to stay on and oversee the grounds. Mr. Dugg authority to negotiate a contract with Mr. Spears to manage the property on a month-to- month basis. Mr. Duggins inquired of the boazd on how to manage the rent checks that would be coming in for the next months. It was decided the best way would be to set up a new Page 3 account. This account would be used to deposit the rent checks into. Mr. Samuel made a motion to set up a new account to deposit Quadrangle money into. Mr. Williams seconded. Motion passed. PEARL STREET PROJECT: Mr. Duggins passed out copies of o~ aze dueflback next we k e Two new homes t on Pearl Street. The Request for Prop will be built at this time. PROJECT DEVELOPMENT UPDATE REPORT: (See attached sheet) Ms. Haller reported that the Beth Nova project is now complete. All grant money has been received from the State. All properties on 10`~ Street have been appraised. Widening of 10~' Street could begin next spring.
