SALT STORAGE BUILDING PURPOSAL
The following is a proposal for building a salt storage facility for the city of
Jeffersonville, at the pipe yard on existing 82' concrete ring.
Constructions as follows
• Construction on existing concrete ring aprox. 82' in diameter
• Wood frame construction
• Fiberglass single rosf
• 16' opening cut in concrete for quick loading and unloading
• Clear span structure
• 7/16 OSB sheeting for roof
• rust inhibiting coating for all exposed steel hangers
• Over 2,800 ton of salt capacity
• 4 concrete abutments for ring support
• Price includes ail labor and material to complete building as per plan's
• Note: price dose not include Electric, Floor (concrete or asphalt) or warranty
on existing wall

At which time all proposals will be opened and publicly read aloud.
Proposals received after the hour and date set for receiving of proposals, will be returned unopened.
All work will be awarded under a single General Contract.
Proposals shall be executed on the Contractor's Bid for Public Works, Form No. 96, Revised 2005, Parts I and II, in
full accordance with the Proposal Documents, which are on file with the Owner and Architect and may be examined
by Bidders at the following locations:

shipping and handling charges.
Distribution of all bid documents to all bidders will be from asingle-source reprographics company.

Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Proposal, including all add alternates must accompany each
Proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding.
The Base Bid may be held for a period not to exceed Thirty (30) days before awarding Contracts.
All additive Alternate Bids may be held for a period not to exceed Thirty (30) days after signing of Contract.
Should a successful Bidder withdraw his bid, or fail to execute a satisfactory contract within ten (10) days after notice
of acceptance of his bid, the Owner may declare the Bid Security forfeited as liquidated damages, not as penalty.
The successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond in an amount equal
to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum with an approved surety company and said bond shall remain in
full force and effect for a period of one (1) year after date of final acceptance of the work.
