HomeMy WebLinkAboutRefuse Container Fee Schedule & FinesFee Schedule and Fines Established by the Jeffersonville Board of Public Works in Accordance with Ordinance 2008-OR-51 The following is a schedule of fees and fines adopted by the members of the Board of Public Works and Safety in accordance with Ordinance 2008-OR-51 Section 15: Section 3 A. Patrons must use a 48 or 96 gallon wheeled container. The fee for such container, if provided by the City, shall be $60.00. A Patron who fails to use such a container is subject to a $25.00 per week fine. I. If the need arises for the pick-up of large bulk items and/or household and demolition debris not fitting into the disposal unit, the Patron will be charged a fee of $50.00 plus the fee for the appropriate sized dumpster, as established in Section 13(D) of 2008-OR-51, needed to collect and haul off the debris pile. Section 4 Any person found violating this section shall be subject to a fine of $500.00. Section 5 A 48 or 96 gallon wheeled container shall be sold for $60.00. Section 6 Any person found violating this section shall be subject to a fine of $500.00. Section 7 Any person found violating part C of this section shall be subject to a fine of $100.00. Section 10 Any person found violating any part of this section shall be subject to a fine of $50.00. Section 11 The fee for any permit issued under this section shall be $25.00 and the Board of Public Works and Safety hereby delegates the authority to initially issue any permits under this ordinance to the Jeffersonville Building Commissioner. Any person failing to timely renew their permit, or in the event that a request for renewal is denied, that person shall be subject to a fine of $25.00 per day until the permit is renewed or the dumpster is removed. Section 12 If the need arises for the pick-up of any yard waste, construction and demolition debris or refuse left by a contractor or their agent, the Patron will be charged a fee of $250.00 plus the fee for the appropriate sized dumpster, as established in Section 13(D) of 2008-OR-51, needed to collect and haul off the debris pile. Said liability insurance shall be a minimum of $100,000 per individual, $300,000 per occurrence coverage. Section 13 A. Garbage and refuse shall be collected from the following for the established fee: 1. Multi-family residential units larger than an eight-plea: $650.00 per month. 2. Amulti-family residential unit that is part of an apartment complex: $650.00 per month. 3. Industrial properties: $650.00 per month. B. The fee for Collection from commercial properties shall be $60.00 per month. So adopted this ~ ~ day of o~~~-- , 2009.
