ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A CITY PARTNERSHIP FROGRAM
NON-REVERTING FUND
WHEREAS, the Mayor of Jeffersonville periodically receives donations and revenue
from the City Partnership Program for various civic projects; and
WHEREAS, to enhance the services and to lessen the tax burden upon the citizens of the
City of Jeffersonville, the Mayor of Jeffersonville needs to establish a non reverting fund to
administer the funds for the establishment and maintenance of the City Partnership Program.
WHEREAS, donations to and revenue from the City Partnership Program Non-
Reverting Fund would be anon-tax source of income. The use of said funds would be to
implement the necessary services to engage advertisers and/or sponsors (City Partners) for
various City venues and events in an attempt to generate outside, non-tax, revenue for the City of
Jeffersonville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana that it hereby establishes anon-reverting fund for the purposes of
receiving and holding donations and revenue received by the Mayor of Jeffersonville for
promotional expenditures for acquiring outside advertisers and sponsors. Monies from the non-
reverting fund may be used to purchase such sales support tools like business cards, sales
contracts, and/or promotional flyers or the like in the advancement of advertisement sales.
Further, said monies shall be for the use of the Jeffersonville Parks Department, and monies may
be expended from this fund only upon the filing of a proper claim in issuance of a warrant for
payment by the Clerk-Treasurer after approval by the Parks Authority of the City of
Jeffersonville. Said Non-Reverting Fund shall be titled "Partnership Program Fund" under the
Pazks Department. Hereinafter, the Clerk-Treasurer shall not deposit monies the Mayor receives
from the "City Partnership" program into the general fund but shall deposit those funds into this
non-reverting fund.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect((~~from and after its passage and approval.
