In the past several months during a heavy rain event we have noticed that a portion of the sewer system that comes to Mill Creek Station has been backing up from the Mill Creek station down Jonquil Dr into the Rolling Fields Subdivision to 8th St and Strawberry Lane. We have noticed an increase in sewer calls at this time in those areas. Employee's have responded to these calls and found the sewer system holding full. It is our concern that the Mill Creek station is over loaded. I also feel after looking at some maintenance records and checking the history of the pumps in this station it might be a great idea to pull these pumps and have them rebuilt, we are currently experiencing a problem with pump #1 motor and its overloads they are set to there maximum settings. We have also noticed the pumps clogging up in this same period of time. I under stand that this station is slated to be rebuilt but didn't know what kind of time line we where looking at. I recommend that the pumps be rebuilt as soon as possible, if the plan to rebuild this station is put on hold for much longer. Pump # 1 is going to be pulled for repairs. ~ , 1 J:\Jeffersonville Share\Share\Mike G\City Request 08\MiII Creek concerns.doc EMC Work Request r !
