We experienced two excursions during the month due to the startup ? of the new Ultra-Violet disinfection system. IDEM was notified and is aware of the issue. Removal percentages for the month, BOD 97.7%, TSS 96.2%, and NH3 99.4%. ? Settleable solids averaged 267 for the month, stability of Settleable solids is excellent at this time. ? There were 18 wet days (defined as a day having at least 0.1 inch of rainfall and three days afterward) resulting in an ? average plant flow of 6.15 MGD, and 13 dry days with an average flow of 4.82 MGD. The percentages of design flow for the plant were 102.5% wet weather and 80.3% dry weather average. The total average influent flow for the month was 5.59 MGD, which is 93.2% of design. The facility received an average influent BOD loading of 10,474.7 this is 103.7% of the design. ? The facility received an average influent TSS of 7,662.2 lbs/day; this is 72.4% of the design. ? The facility received an average influent Ammonia of 521.9 lbs/day, this is 60.2% of the design ? The maximum rainfall event during the month was on August 14 &21 at 1.25”. ? Clean up of construction areas continue. ? Currently we are experiencing some problems with the supplemental blower units. ADM is addressing these issues at ? this time. Pretreatment Annual inspection were made at Altec and Brinly-Hardy. ? Annual composite samples were taken at Pfau’s and Philadelphia Quartz. ? Lift stations and Collection System Lift stations and collection system Crews cleaned 5,275 ft. of sanitary sewers. (YTD 40010) ? Crews cleaned 8,380 ft. of storm / CSO sewers. (YTD 29797) ? Crews televised 1,414 ft. of sewer lines. (YTD 7452) ? All 23 trouble spots were cleaned and or checked during the month. ? Crews cleaned and vactored 2 C/B and 5 M/H ? Crews conducted 1 dye test in the collection system. ? In the month of August crews made 20 sewer calls 19 being residents or other problems and 1 being city’s line. Page 2 913 Springdale Dr. crew cleaned 105’ from C/O out to M/H to help elderly residents, there back ? flow preventer had solids built up in front of it. 707 Ohio Ave. crews cleaned 400’ to remove blockage in line, this line was full of grease in alley ? behind house. Collection crews worked with different departments of the city on various projects and a few businesses jobs around town. Crews televised 158’ from M/H to wet well at Creek Stone station Leroy with REMC said looked ? like a feeder around there transformer, everything looked o.k. Crews televised 258’ on Bluebird Dr. to Hopkins Lane they marked all the residence taps for Mike ? L. and Excel Contracting who are putting in a storm line. Crews televised 159’ behind the old Tubbys bar, to locate a tap for Mike L. and a contractor. ? Crew did locate for Jerry C. to find a M/H on Sundancer Dr. ? Crew helped Brad from Strand at 10 St. station to shoot some heights on flapper gate for ? th transducer that was installed. Crew vactored out wet well 2 times at old station on Plank Rd. for Jim S. ? Crew did dye test on Camp Powers the force main was running back into old station on Plank Rd. ? for Mike L. Crew televised 70’ to locate 2 taps at lot 412 Country Club Estates for Jerry C. and the ? contractors. Crews cleaned and vactored 1,620’ of storm line and 1 C/B at 2112 Allison Lane for Jim S. ? Crews also televised 380’ of storm line at 2112 Allison Lane to check for damage. ? Collection crews street pre-maintenance schedule Trouble spot list was completed 7,080’ of sewer lines cleaned and vactored. ? A crew vactored out 15 wet wells due to build up of grease and solids. ? CSO gates were greased and exercised. ? Grass at lift stations was cut as needed. ? Crews cleaned 2,700’ of the Market St. interceptor line from Penn St. to Main St. ? Crews cleaned 105’ at the city’s digging crews shop. ? Crews cleaned line 400’ from M/H at Magnolia station down Hamburg Pike. ? Crews cleaned 275 at 1308 Apple Lane. to 9 St. ? th Crews root cut and cleaned 970’ of sewer lines throughout the city. ? Crews televised 389’ of sewer lines to locate 3 taps for residents and to check for damage in 1 of ? the lines which was o.k. Crews cleaned and vactored 5 M/H and 2 C/O. ? Collection crews station pre-maintenance schedule All lift stations floats, switches, pumps, alarms, electrical and mechanical components were ? cleaned, exercised and inspected for proper operations. Generators at 10 St., Spring St, and Mill Creek were operated, inspected and exercised for ? th proper operations. Bar screens were cleaned as needed. ? Crews replaced lead float at River Port #2 station and tested. ? Crews replaced stop float at Creek Stone Station and tested. ? Crew put guard on pump #1 drive shaft at Spring St. ? Page 3 Crews pulled pump #2 at Creek Stone Station checked and tested also tightened guide rails. ? Crews installed new still well and transducer on the 10 St. stations flapper gate. ? th Repairs made in the collection system Crews made repairs to and installed new parts in electrical panel at Silver Creek station. ? Crew took dodge pickup truck to vehicle maintenance to install new blower motor. ? Crew took dodge pickup truck to vehicle maintenance for 2 new tires. ? Crew took Mac vactor truck to vehicle maintenance to repair jet hose. ?
