Effluent quality was within NPDES permit limits.
Removal percentages for the month, BOD 98.2%, TSS 97.1 %, and NH3 99.2%.
Settleable solids averaged 682 mg/l for the month, settleability is stable. Fluctuations in the
weather will have all effect on the settleability. This has not caused any operational problems.
There were 19 wet days (defined as a day having at least 0.1 inch of rainfall and three days
afterward) resulting in an average plant flow on .077 MGD, and 11 dry days with an average flow
of 5.992 MGD. The total monthly flow for the plant was 101% of the design flow.
The facility received an average influent BOD loading of 13,701Ibs/day, (Design - 12,210
lbs/day)
The facility received an average influent TSS of 14,301Ibs/day; (Design - 11,660 lbs/day)
The facility received an average influent Ammonia of6491bs/day, (Design - 1,501Ibs/day)
The maximum rainfall event during the month was on March 14 at 1.5 inches. Total monthly
rainfall for the month was 4.25 inches.
Plant is operating well. #1 gravity thickener is off-line due to problems encountered during
freezing.
All bulbs in UV unit have been changed out and maintenance performed in advance of e-coli
analysis of effluent on April 1.
Biosolids are now being taken to Clark-Floyd Landfill in Bennetsville, instead of Outer Loop
Landfill in Louisville.
Met with Len Ashack and members of my staff on the sampling procedures which we will use
with the CSO flow monitoring equipment
Pretreatment
~ The status of Badd, Inc. on New Middle Road, concerning being permitted through the City, is
still being looked into and we're awaiting opinion from IDEM
~ The yearly Industrial User Survey letters were sent out to all ten permitted industries.
~ Visits were made to Altec, Inc. and Steel Drnamics.

When an area is inspected, place a checkmark on the line next to each item inspected.
If the item is out of compliance, circle the checkmark and make a note as to what needs
to be done to achieve compliance. Feel free to write comments next to or near item.
Subtract the number of "Not in Compliance" from the "Adjusted Total". This gives
you the total "In Compliance". Divide the number of "In Compliance" by the
"Adjusted Total" to give the "Total Percent".
