Coleman Facilities Manager 1.0 EFFLUENT QUALITY During July, effluent quality was within NPDES permit limits for BOD and TSS concentrations. Table 1.1 summarizes the effluent quality data. Flow 5.2 2.45 (MGD) 2.0 FACILITY OPERATIONS Attachment B contains a list of septic haulers that discharged during the month of July. During July, the treatment processes continued to perform excellent. No major problems occurred during the month. 2.1 PRETREATMENT During July, there was one industry in violation of their discharge permits with the City's pretreatment program. Table 2.2 illustrates each industry, and where they exceeded their limits. MOR . JEFFERSONVILLE, IN r- Table 2.2 INDUSTRIALNOV's FORJuLY Industrial Water Recycling Oil & Grease We will continue to work with Industrial Water Recycling to ensure compliance stays within their permit limits. 3.0 PREVENTIVE AND UNSCHEDULED MAINTENANCE Preventive maintenance was performed on all equipment as scheduled during the month of July. There were 12 unscheduled maintenance tasks performed. All were minor repairs. A copy of the unscheduled maintenance work orders is included as Attachment C. Maintenance and repair expenditures for the month of July are detailed in Attachment D. Table 3.1 represents the total amount expended in July, and for the current contract year. Table 3.2 includes the same information for repair and replacement expenditures. AttachmentE contains a detail of repair and replacement expenditures for the year. The rating was 9%. The deficiencies reported were: ~ All necessary non-sparking tools are not available. ~ Fiberglass ladder is not available for electrical work. ~ Drain covers at the press room were not in place. ~ Store room was cluttered and unorganized. ~ Water hoses were not properly stored and were laying in the walkways. ~ Trash cans were not emptied regularly. ~ Electrical contacts at the control panels were not free of dust. ~ Two employees need first-aid training. The deficiencies will be adressed and corrected as soon as possible. All the necessary equipment will be purchased to resolve the deficiencies. A copy of the Safety Inspection report is included as Attachment G. On July 19, 1995 quaterly planning session and facility work rules were reviewed with all the employees of the facility. MOR JEFFERSONVILLE, IN 5.0 SEWER COLLECTION SYSTEM During the month there were 13 sewer calls. Eleven of the calls concerned sewer backups with four of the calls being blockages within the City's system. The remaining calls involved reports of sink holes on residential property. Table 5.1, on the next page, shows the data of July sewer projects.
