FACILITY OPERATIONS
Attachment D contains a list of septic haulers that discharged at the facility during the month of
March.
During March, the treatment processes performed very well. # 1 digester was put into operation,
with #2 digester being run though the press, then drained into the RAS station. This change
contributed to high settleability numbers.
3.1
PRETREATMENT
. Pretreatment activities for the month included the following:
. Visited 6 of 10 industries during the month.
. Started making preparation to begin sampling in April.

A safety inspection was conducted on April 1, 2003. The rating was 99%. There were no
deficiencies reported. Our plant is still in excellent shape.
A copy of the Safety Inspection Report is included as Attachment G.
6.0 SEWER COLLECTION SYSTEM AND PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
During the month, there were 33 sewer calls. Please see table 4.1, Monthly Sewer Call Report and
table 6.1, Monthly Collection Analysis Report, for a more detailed breakdown of monthly sewer
maintenance.
During the month of March trouble spots were cleaned as well as catchbasins being maintained
during rain events. Wet wells that were cleaned are as follows: Cedarview, Colonial Park, Crums
Lane #1, Ewing Lane, Louise Street, Crums Lane #2, Eastbrook, Creekstone and Utica #2.
Checked FLA' s at Mill Creek and replaced spine coupling on pump #2. At Spring Street lift
station, the sump pump was pulled and the pit cleaned, and a new hatch cover was also installed.
A new aluminum catwalk was installed at Spring Street on the second floor for safe access to the
drive shafts to the pumps. Installed new Princo at Spring Street lift station and new transducer at
10th Street lift station. Ashley Springs lift station was started up as well.

Scoring:
If the plant is not in compliance with the item listed put a checkmark on the line
next to the item listed. Feel free to write comments next to or near the item. If in
compliance, leave blank. If not applicable to the plant (some items may not be),
write N/A ("Not Applicable") on the line. Count up the total number of "Not
Applicable" items. Subtract the "Not Applicable" from the "Total Possible"
points. This will give you the "Adjusted Total". Subtract the number of "Not in
Compliance" from the "Adjusted Total", This gives you the total "In
Compliance", Divide the number of "In Compliance" by the "Adjusted Total" to
give the "Total Percent",
Example: Counts: N/ A = 4 Not in Compliance = 3
Total Possible 114 Total Possible 114
