EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
MONTHLY OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE REPORT
January 2007
Following are summaries for operation and maintenance at the wastewater treatment plant, and
maintenance of the collection system and lift stations for the month of January, 2007.
Plant
~ Effluent quality was within NPDES permit limits.
~ Settleable solids averaged 488 for the month. The cold weather is contributing to the increase, but
we are achieving better settleability than previous years.
~ The extreme cold weather has contributed to icing problems with the clarifiers and sludge
thickener tanks.
~ There were 20 wet days (defined as a day having at least 0.1 inch of rainfall and three days
afterward) resulting in an average plant flow of 8.050 MGD, and 11 dry days with an average flow
of 6.069 MGD. The total average influent flow for the month was 7.151 MGD, which is 110% of
design.
The facility received an average influent BOD loading of 12,576 lbs/day. (Design - 12,210
lbs/day)
The facility received an average influent TSS loading of 13,992 lbs/day. (Design - 11,660
lbs/day)
The facility received an average influent Ammonia loading of 689 lbs/day. (Design - 1,501
lbs/day)
The maximum rainfall event during the month was on January 13 at 1.00 inch. Total rainfall for
the month was 4.35 inches.

When an area is inspected, a checkmark on the line next to each item
inspected. If the item is out of compliance, circle the checkmark and make a note
as to what needs to be done to achieve compliance. Feel free to write comments
next to or near the item. Subtract the nUIl1ber of "Not in Compliance" from the
"Adjusted Total". This gives you the total "In Compliance". Divide the number
of "In Compliance" by the "Adjusted Total" to give the "Total Percent".
