Plant ~ Effluent quality was within NPDES permit limits. ~ Settleable solids averaged 488 for the month. The cold weather is contributing to the increase, but we are achieving better settleability than previous years. ~ The extreme cold weather has contributed to icing problems with the clarifiers and sludge thickener tanks. ~ There were 20 wet days (defined as a day having at least 0.1 inch of rainfall and three days afterward) resulting in an average plant flow of 8.050 MGD, and 11 dry days with an average flow of 6.069 MGD. The total average influent flow for the month was 7.151 MGD, which is 110% of design. The facility received an average influent BOD loading of 12,576 lbs/day. (Design - 12,210 lbs/day) The facility received an average influent TSS loading of 13,992 lbs/day. (Design - 11,660 lbs/day) The facility received an average influent Ammonia loading of 689 lbs/day. (Design - 1,501 lbs/day) The maximum rainfall event during the month was on January 13 at 1.00 inch. Total rainfall for the month was 4.35 inches. r ~ ~ ~ ! ~ ~ ~ r I ~. t .
