EFFLUENT QUALITY
During September, effluent quality was within NPDES permit limits for CBOD, TSS and NH-3.
Table 1.1 summarizes the effluent quality data. Attachment A contains Time Series Plots of
Carbonaceous Biochemical Oxygen Demand (CBOD) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) values.
Attachment B contains Time Series Plots of Aeration Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS) and
Sludge Volume Index (SVI).

FACILITY OPERATIONS
Attachment D contains a list of septic haulers that discharged at the facility during the month of
September.

During September, the treatment processes performed very well. All operational indicators stayed
within normal ranges. All four clarifiers were available. Circuit board on automatic waste valve
burned out and was replaced.
3.1 PRETREATMENT
Pretreatment activities for the month included Indiana-American Water Company inspection on
September 4th for yearly evaluation. Drop in inspections were also made at Roll-Forming and
Apollo America Corp.
4.0 PREVENTIVE AND UNSCHEDULED MAINTENANCE

Preventive Maintenance was performed on all equipment as scheduled for September. Vactor Wet
Well program started. Cleaned Colonial Park, Creekstone, Eastbrook, Ewing Lane, Magnolia,
New Middle School, Louise Street, Cherry Creek, Crums Lane I & II, Golfview, Highmeadows I
& II and Utica I & II Lift Stations.

A safety inspection was conducted on September 30, 2002. The rating was 99.0%. There were no
deficiencies reported. Our plant is still in excellent shape.
A copy of the Safety Inspection Report is included as Attachment I.
