Jeffersonville Wastewater Treatment Facility Monthly Operations Report 3.0 FACILITY OPERA nONS Attachment D contains a list of septic haulers that discharged at the facility during the month of June. During June the treatment processes performed very well. The facility experienced normal rainfall for the month. The sludge settleability and SVIs in the secondary treatment process were normal for the month ofJ une. rI 3.1 PRETREATMENT ~. j Pretreatment activities for the month ofJune 1999 include: f> l j ~,,,,d :) OnJ une 3, 1999 there was an spill at Spring Street and Market Street. Several parameters were analyzed on the unknown waste. Environmental Consultants, Inc., performed all tests that were requested. The waste was contained and the area was cleaned up. The results of the tests indicated that the unknown waste was gasoline mixed with water. :) Annual sampling was performed at George pfau, Brinly-Hardy, and IWR. :) An Annual Inspection was performed at IWR. :) The ten permitted industries at the Jeffersonville WWTP are no longer required to test for hexavalent chromium. :) The septic hauler's analysis was performed on June 1, 1999. 4.0 PREVENTIVE AND UNSCHEDULED MAINTENANCE Preventive maintenance was performed on all equipment as scheduled for June. There were 18 unscheduled maintenance tasks performed. All were minor repairs except for: 0.11 " i! -~ [] :) TV line on Chippewa and Park Place to check for roots. :) Unstopped SOzline at injection point. :) Installed new switch on tarp cover for sludge truck. :) Replace reset switch on RAS Station. A list of unscheduled maintenance work orders and sewer calls is included as Attachment E. Maintenance & Repair expenditures for the month ofJune are detailed in Attachment F.
