Fax: 812-285-6454 www.emcinc.com A ROC GROUP COMPANY ".- i r r EXECUTIVE SUMMARY MONTHLY OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE REPORT November, 2006 Following are summaries for operation and maintenance at the wastewater treatment plant, and maintenance of the collection system and lift stations for the month of November, 2006 Plant ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ - ~ ~ Effluent quality was within NPDES permit limits. Removal percentages for the month, BOD 98.1 %, TSS 97.6%, and NH3 99.4%. Settleable solids averaged 330 mg/I for the month, settlleablability is very good at this time. There were 16 wet days (defined as a day having at least 0.1 inch of rainfall and three days afterward) resulting in an average plant flow of 7.468 MGD, and 15 dry days with an average flow of 5.021 MGD. The flow for the plant was 123% Of the design flow. The facility received an average influent BOD loading of I 6566lbs/day, (Design- 10 I 05 Ibs/day) The facility received an average influent TSS of 14309.2 Ibs/day; (Design - 10105 Ibs/day) The facility received an average influent Ammonia of 717 Ibs/day, (Design-I 30 I Ibs/day) The maximum rainfall event during the month was on November 15&30 at 1.30". Plant is operating well, all equipment is online. Pretreatment ~ Inspection was made at Cargo Clean to monitor changes in their operations. ~ Met with officials at Indiana-American Water to review reporting requirements. Lift stations and Collection System . Crews cleaned 10,272 ft. of sanitary sewers. (YTD 65137) . Crews cleaned 6,945 ft. of storm I CSO sewers. (YTD 53336) . Crews televised 775 ft. of sewer lines. (YTD 12172) . All 23 trouble spots were cleaned and or checked during the month. . Crews cleaned 51 C/B and 5 C/B tops off. In the month of November crews made 29 sewer calls 28 being residents or other problems and I being city's line. . 1940 Cheryl Dr. crews cleaned 750' two ways to try and help resident they would need a plumber. . 214 Kewanna Dr. crews cleaned 315' to try and help they would need;;l plumber. . 3018 Jefferson Ct. crew cleaned 150' to try and a r-- i > r r , r-. r --- ~ ~ r r r-- Page 2 . 30 I E. Crews televised 281' in Jeff Boat for Excel Contractors to check line. . Crews televised 249' at 2502 Muscovy Ct. to check storm line. Collection crews street pre-maintenance schedule . Crews cleaned 800' in the Landsburg subdivision. . Crews cleaned 1,330' on Riverside Dr. Rocky's to Kingfish down Riverpointe Dr. . Crews cleaned I, I 00' of the PQ discharge line. . Crews cleaned 670' of the Dallas Corp. discharge line. . Crews cleaned 1,680' of sewer lines throughout the city. . Crews televised 57' to locate tap at 214 Kewanna Dr. . Crews televised 188' to locate tap at 412 & 414 Myrtle St. . A crew vactored out 9 wet wells due to build up of grease and solids. . All CSO gates were greased and exercised. . Trouble spot list was completed 8,642' of sewer lines cleaned and vactored. . Crews cleaned the tops off 5 C/B . Crews cleaned and vactored 51 C/B in the down town area. . Crews conducted 2 dye tests in the collection system. Collection crews station pre-maintenance schedule . All lift stations floats, switches, pumps, alarms, electrical and mechanical components were cleaned, exercised and inspected for proper operation. . Generators at 10th St., Mill Creek and Spring St. were operated, inspected and exercised for proper operations. . Crews cleaned the 3 rain gages. . Crews changed out batteries to Scada alarm system at 2 stations. . Crews pulled both pumps at Crums Lane. #2 to remove rags tested & put back on line. . Crews pulled pump # I at Ewing Lane checked pump out greased bearings and put back on line. . Crew changed out 3 floats at Scott St. station. . Crew pulled pump #2 at High Meadows # I for quotes needs repaired. . Crews pulled pump # 1 at Louise St. station removed rags tested put back on line. . Crews pulled plant water pump removed plastic bag tested and put back on line. . Crews back flushed both pumps at Mill Creek flushed still well and cleaned transducer. . Crews added weight to the off float at Creek Stone station. . Crews working on pump #3 at 10th St electrical panel. Page 3 Repairs made in the collection system . Repaired tire on Vactor truck. . Replaced relay to block heater on plant generator. . Put new chocker cable on sludge truck. . In stalled new water heater to maintenance building. . Repaired air tank on Utility truck. . Table 1.1 summarizes the effluent quality data. Attachment A contains Time Series Plots of Carbonaceous Biochemical Oxygen Demand (CBOD) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) values. All parameters were will within IDEM limits. Average influent flow was 136% of plant design capacity. Removal rates for the month were BOD removal- 98.3%, TSS removal- 97.2%, Ammonia removal- 99.5%. 3.1 PRETREATMENT Pretreatment activities for the month included the following: .
