Review of April's events:
Elementary Art Show at NoCo Arts Center—John McCarthy
Very successful art show, teachers felt appreciated, supported and recognized. Jeffersonville Arts Alliance had
people there to help.
A few statistics of the event: We had 240 participants of which 174 attended. On Tuesday evening 82 people
visited, Wednesday evening 70 people attended. In total for all nights/all people attending 759.
Don Preston, an artist that will be opening a business in NoCo district donated 250 coupons for 25% off an item
once open.
Andy Crouch took drone footage of the event due to amount of cars and people coming into exhibit.
Creative Impact—
Last month during the wine walk we had a wood turner—this did not fare very well. However, this month,
during chocolate stroll,we had a stained glass artist and had about 105 people come.
Mosaic JAM Session NoCo Arts Center
Courier Journal Newspaper and The News and Tribune Newspaper both had articles covering the Mosaic Jam
session. We had 87 participants and this number does not include dignitaries and people just stopping by.
Shakespeare at Picasso Pointe
Jazz band started at 5:30 there was a very low amount of people there are this time, but, closer to Shakespeare
we had about 90-100 people. Kara Burton, Jeffersonville Township Library put together pamphlets about
Shakespeare and handed them out, people seemed to really enjoy that touch.
Review of Jack Becker Visit
Mr. Becker will be coming back to Jeffersonville at end of June, while here he spoke with 60 people. His first
meeting is just about getting information. He will be coming back and would like to possibly host a public
meeting, if not able to in June he will plan to in August on his final visit.
NoCo Video
Promedia is taking video shots now, they are wanting to get a group shot of all Commissioners and guests on
Tuesday, May 28 if possible. They have scripts, like one liners, to read to help introduce the NoCo district.

island, working with library and others to host fable nights at the Art center.

Dawn: The Paddlewheel sculpture—Indianapolis based artist team will be using black lights in concrete to
illuminate paddlewheel. Estimated install sometime in June, will have dedication in July.

dedication if you would like.
