New Business
Begin to identify Utility Box locations:
This is every other year, painting of utility boxes and some touch ups on ones that are already painted. Andy
Crouch worked on list of box locations that could be painted. Commission will need to pick 12-15 locations.
Andy will bring to March meeting for Commissioners to pick locations. Dawn informed the Commissioners the
paint on the utility boxes last approximately 6 years, so by the time it gets back to one particular box it is ready
to be painted.
Creative Impact Series to begin in April:
This will encourage people to come to Arts building. Artists will be doing demonstrations, hope to have a wood
turner, an artist doing glass bead work, and Dawn is in contact with a glass blower. Series is to begin first
Friday in April, on April 5, 6-9 p.m.
Urban Sketchers:
Beverly Eisle moved from Texas and this is a very popular thing in Texas. Schedule a location to meet once a
month, people will bring own supplies to draw or paint with and on. Locations will vary throughout the City
and the backdrop is used as the inspiration point of their work. Dawn is requesting JPAC to sponsor 10 art
items once per month to make this happen. Susan Henderson makes motion to purchase 10 items a month,
seconded by John McCarthy, motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner's comments:
Deborah: At the Impact Series will artist be selling their pieces? Yes they will per Dawn.
John: We have an interim superintendent for Greater Clark Schools we,the Board need to start anticipating

Susan: I agree with John we need to push for more art in the schools.
