HomeMy WebLinkAboutMAY 17, 2017 JEFFERSONVILLE POLICE MERIT COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MAY 17, 2017 The Jeffersonville Police Merit Commission meeting was held on May 17, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, First Floor, 500 Quartermaster Court,Jeffersonville, Indiana. President Robert Campbell called the meeting to order with the following in attendance: President Robert Campbell,Jeremy Snelling, Bonnie Deppert, Scott Aldridge and Patty Rush. Absent were: Jim Reagan and Attorney Robert Bottorff. Invocation was given by Jeremy Snelling APPROVAL OF MINUTES: President Campbell presented the minutes from April 11, 2017 meeting, asking if there were any additions or corrections. Mr. Snelling made a motion to approve the minutes as presented and seconded by Ms. Deppert. Voted 5-0 OLD BUSINESS: A letter was submitted from Chief Kenny Kavanaugh officially requesting the Police Merit Commission receive the names of The Experienced Police Officers Candidate's with number 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the hiring list, which would fill the vacancies within the agency. The individuals are listed in rank order from highest to lowest, are as follows: 1. Cody Richardson 2. Theadore Comer 3. Brian Wyatt 4. Levi James Mr. Snelling made motion to accept the Experienced Police Officers Candidate's eligibility list for the City of Jeffersonville Police Department which was submitted by Chief Kavanaugh and seconded by Ms. Deppert. Voted 5-0 NEW BUSINESS: None CLAIMS: A claim from Bob Bottorff Law, PC on Invoice#00123 in the amount of$630.00 for the months of March, April and May, 2017. Mr. Aldridge made a motion to approve the claim in the amount of $630.00 and seconded by Mr. Snelling. Voted 5-0 A claim from Public Safety Medical for Rebecca M. Moses on Invoice#00-30367 in the amount of$1,229.98. Mr. Aldridge made motion to approve the claim in the amount of$1,229.98 and seconded by Mr. Snelling. Voted 5-0 A claim from Indiana Media Group for Account#182830in the amount of$2,188.71. Mr. Aldridge made motion to approve the claim in the amount of$2,188.71 and seconded by Mr. Snelling. Voted 5-0 A claim from Indiana Media Group regarding Account#178994 in the amount of$260.00. Mr. Snelling made a motion to approve the claim in the amount of$260.00 and seconded by Mr.Aldridge. Voted 5-0 A claim from Office Supply Company on Account#JEF050 in the amount of$12.55. Mr. Aldridge made motion to approve the claim in the amount of$12.55 and seconded by Mr. Snelling. Voted 5-0 REPORTS: None ADJOURN: Mr. Snelling made motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:30 P.M. and seconded by Mr. Aldridge. The next meeting will be held on June 13, 2017.
