FIRE MERIT COMMISSION
The Jeffersonville Fire Merit Commission held a Regular Meeting on Thursday,
September 1, 2016 in the first floor Council Chambers, 500 Quartermaster Court,
Jeffersonville, IN.
Jeff Frey—President
Tom Kepfhammer—Vice President
Patricia Barrow— Secretary
Kent Monohan—Board Member
Bernie Horvath—Board Member
Nathan Masingo —Attorney
Connie Conen—Recording Secretary
GUESTS: J. Hurt, D. Dierking and Chief Hedrick
CALL TO ORDER:
Mr. Frey called the meeting to order at 5:45PM. Mr. Monohan was absent.
Ms. Barrow made a motion to accept the minutes of the August 4, 2016 meeting, Mr.
Horvath seconded - the minutes were unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS:
- The Promotional Written Test will be September 29, 2016. Members of the Fire
Department met with IPSP to discuss the testing process.
- Chief Hedrick turned in the Fire Department mid-year(1/1-6/30/2016)performance
reviews. He commented about having Road Blocks as a way to get funds for the
Community Kitchen. He had spoken to the Mayor, who only agreed for a Road
Block for the Crusade for Children.
Adjournment:
Mr. Horvath made a motion to adjourn; Ms. Barrow seconded. The meeting was
adjourned at 6:20.

October 6, 2016—5:00 meeting with IPSP, 6:00 Open Meeting
