FIRE MERIT COMMISSION

The Jeffersonville Fire Merit Commission held a Regular Meeting on Thursday, April 4,
2013 in the 1 Floor Council Room, 500 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, IN.

Jeff Frey — Secretary
Patricia Barrow — Board Member - Absent
Clark Miles — Board Member
Drew Adams — Attorney - Absent
Connie Conen — Recording Secretary

CALL TO ORDER:
Mr. Akermon called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM
MINUTES:
Mr. Ervin made a motion to accept the minutes of the March 7, 2013 meeting; seconded
by Mr. Frey — motion passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS:
- There was no old business.
NEW BUSINESS
- Mr. DeArk noted that per statues, there must be 2 evaluations done each year.
The Fire Department will use the old American Legion Building or Bales as their
Thunder Headquarters. The department has 2 "mules" from the district that will
be at Station 1 — to be used at the Big Four Bridge. The bridge will be closed for
Thunder.
- Mr. DeArk turned in 2 performance evaluations and will give Mr. Frey 3 more.
He also gave a "Recommendation for Permanent Assignment" for firefighters J.
Hurt ( 4/3/13), C. Dickey (4/4/13), J. Glinke (4/5/13) and B. Emerson (4/11/13).
